There Are No Similarities Except…

Hitler and ChamberlainOn top of a mountain next door, three generations ago, Hitler had a luxury chalet called Berghof.

He could have said about his gatherings there with guests like Benito Mussolini and Neville Chamberlain (pictured here) what Angela Merkel said in relation to today’s G7 meeting at Schloss Elmau:

“We want to show our guests a wonderful part of Germany and convene in this kind of atmosphere and style, which is important for the results of summits like these.”

Is it still necessary to mention Berghof every time Democratic Germany hosts a G-7 and expressed pride of place?

If I recall correctly, a subsequent Hitler-Chamberlain meeting was held in Wiesbaden. Wiesbaden needs the publicity more. :)) Of course, the G7 has not yet discovered it.

Yes. You are absolutely right! Bad Godesberg! It also likely needs some publicity, especially since the capital has moved from Bonn! :))
