  1. I had an enlightened teacher in high-school who assigned Lysistrata in an English course. We thought we were terrifically sophisticated to be reading about such adult shenanigans.
    The damage the Republicans have already done to the Voting Rights Act has trimmed back the success of US Civil Rights movement considerably, and if Trump and his wrecking crew get their way a lot more damage will be inflicted. His campaign and election have given permission and new life to the raw racism never far from the surface in US politics.
